United Tissue Resources loves to showcase its wonderful staff and highlight the enormous efforts and impact they bring to the donation community.
This month we are focusing on our UTR San Antonio Satellite Office, which is located at:
591 Spencer Lane
San Antonio, TX.
The employees we want to highlight this month are Joshua Hawkins, Mark Lara, and Shawn Huetter.
Joshua Hawkins has been with our organization for about a year and a half. He has over 10 years of logistics experience and previously worked with Methodist Stone Oak Hospital as a supply technician.
Mark Lara, born and raised in San Antonio, has been with United Tissue Resources since November of 2016. Mark previously worked for University Health System in materials management and central supply. “I enjoy the feeling of being a part of such a positive effect on someone receiving the gift of donated tissue,” said Mark.
Shawn Huetter is approaching four years at UTR with roles in quality control and tissue distribution. Prior to working with UTR, Shawn had nearly five years’ experience working as a QC Laboratory Technician with a pharmaceutical company. In addition to his work at UTR, Shawn is a full-time student at UTSA in the Civil & Environmental Engineering program. He is considering continuing his education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Water Science & Engineering or Sustainable Design.
Our team excels at customer service and brings passion and expertise to serving San Antonio area surgeons, hospitals, surgery centers and ultimately tissue recipients.
Rita, an Administrative Manager for a large surgery-based hospital, has expressed how much she appreciates UTR and the service we bring to their daily operation.
Our vendors and representatives’ feedback has been just as positive and encouraging. “You guys are always on the ball, and I very much appreciate your support,” one vendor remarked.
The office is accredited by American Association of Tissue Banks and registered with the FDA and state health department.
United Tissue Resources provide the following logistical services to support our local medical community:
